About Melinda Hii

Melinda is an experienced gynaecologist who is committed to excellence in women's health care. She graduated from the Melbourne Medical School (University of Melbourne) in 1993.

She moved to New Zealand in 1995 and completed her specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Auckland followed by a Fellowship year in Brisbane, Australia. She has been in private practice since 2005.
Melinda enjoys a busy and varied gynaecological practice. She sees and treats women of all ages with a wide range of gynaecological problems which include menstrual problems (heavy and painful periods), pelvic pain, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, fibroids, polyps, polycystic ovarian syndrome and abnormal cervical smears. She has a special interest in minimal access surgery which include laparoscopic treatment of endometriosis, total laparoscopic hysterectomy, laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy and hysteroscopic surgery.
