about Mr Chris Taylor

Chris graduated from the Auckland Medical School and completed his Orthopaedic training in 1994. He then completed his fellowship in United States, Scotland and Australia specialising in Hand, Wrist and Peripheral Nerve Surgery.

Since his return to New Zealand in 1997 Chris has been in private practice in Remuera. Chris is very experienced in treatment of problems of the hand and wrist - carpal tunnel, dupuytrens disease, trigger finger, foreign body and cyst removal, fractures of the fingers, hand and wrist as well as rheumatoid hand and wrist problems and peripheral nerve injuries.

Surgery, if required is carried out at the Auckland Surgical Centre in Remuera or Ormiston Hospital in Manukau.
Chris is also a senior consultant in Hand Surgery at Counties Manukau District Health Board. As well as a commitment to hand and wrist surgery at Middlemore Hospital he has a large role to play in training of junior doctors and nurses.
