. Osteoporosis is a medical condition with symptons such as

brittle bones

which become fragile from loss of tissue, typically as a result of hormonal changes, or deficiency of calcium or vitamin D. Osteoporosis-related fractures most commonly occur in the hip, wrist or spine. It’s most common in older people, although young people can suffer from it as well.
