About Dr Arif Aslam
Arif graduated from the University of Dundee School of Medicine (Scotland) in 2004 and completed post graduate training in both general medicine (MRCP) and general practice (MRCGP) in the North-West deanery. He specialised in dermatology at the Manchester Academic Health Science Centre, Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust where he developed his interest in skin cancer, dermatological surgery and laser dermatology.
After completing his post graduate training, he sought additional specialised training and completed a fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery, dermatologic oncology and laser dermatology at the Nottingham NHS Treatment Centre. This was consolidated by further training from recognised leaders in the field across several leading US centres including, Stanford (S Aasi), Cincinnati (B Coldiron), Vermont (G Goldman) and Washington (A Hendi) leading to membership of the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS).
Arif has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles and several book chapters and has presented at national and international scientific meetings. He is a fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatology, member of the British Association of Dermatologists, British Society of Dermatologic Surgery and American College of Mohs Surgery.
Arif works out of several of our Auckland clinics and Nelson clinic.
