Dr. Heath Wilms is a New Zealand trained Breast & General Surgeon with a specialist focus on Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. He is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care that balances the highest standards of cancer surgery with techniques that preserve form & function.
Originally from New Plymouth, Dr. Wilms first studied finance at the University of Otago & worked in the field briefly before choosing to pursue medicine. He completed his medical degree at the University of Auckland, where he discovered a passion for surgery & went on to train in a variety of centres across New Zealand. To further develop his expertise, Dr. Wilms undertook a fellowship at the Edinburgh Breast Unit, the largest & busiest in the United Kingdom. There, he gained extensive experience in advanced oncoplastic breast surgery, working alongside leading international specialists.
