Child Welfare & Youth Support

A wide range of organisations provide services to assist child welfare and youth support. Many of these services are free and are provided by not for profit organisations.

Paediatric Otolaryngology

Services may include treatment for ear infection, otitis media, grommets, glue ear, cholesteatoma, congenital ear deformities. May also include tongue and lip ties, tonsillitis, broken nose, OSA, tonsillectomy, nose and sinus disorders.

Paediatric Ophthalmology

Services may include treatment for lazy eye (amblyopia), glasses for near sightedness, far sightedness, astigmatism and squint (strabismus).

Paediatric Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery for children, including cleft lip and palate, craniofacial surgery, burns and scar revision and prominent ears.

Paediatric Orthopaedics

Services may include treatment of cerebral palsy, club foot, other congenital differences, gait abnormalities (limping), broken bones and fractures, bone or joint infections and tumours.

Paediatric Urology

Services may include treatment for bedwetting and daytime urinary incontinence, undescended testes, bladder and kidney stones, neurogenic bladder (associated with spina bifida), repair of genitourinary trauma, genitourinary malformations and birth defects.

Paediatric Surgery

Services may include treatment for umbilical and inguinal hernia, circumcision, constipation and abdominal pain, head injuries, tongue tie release, bedwetting and daytime urinary incontinence, undescended testes, birthmarks, paediatric endoscopy and laparoscopy.
