About Dr Anne-Marie Yardley
Dr Anne-Marie Yardley is a general ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon who specialises in all aspects of paediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus.
Anne-Marie completed her medical degree at the University of Auckland in 2003. She went on to complete her postgraduate professional training in ophthalmology in Dunedin, Christchurch and Wellington during which time she also obtained a Master of Ophthalmology from the University of Otago. Thereafter she undertook a further two years of fellowship training in paediatrics and strabismus, working at the Lions Eye Institute and Princess Margaret Hospital for Children in Western Australia, and then the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada.
Dr Yardley consults privately from The Terrace Eye Centre, Wellington and also works at Wellington Public Hospital. She has a wide range of interests both within ophthalmology and outside medicine and enjoys working with patients from all sorts of backgrounds and age groups.
Dr Yardley has been recognised for her achievements in the form of awards and scholarships and has published widely in the peer-reviewed literature.
Dr Yardley is taking private referrals for all aspects of paediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus, plus general ophthalmology and cataract surgery.

Appointments are on a referral basis from either your Optometrist, GP, Ministry of Health Vision Screening for Children program, or another Specialist.
What you need to bring to your appointment:
When coming to your appointment, please remember to bring all your glasses with you. If you are a contact lens wearer, please bring your lens case with you as we will most likely require you to remove your lenses so we can examine your eye at your appointment.
