about Dr Murali Mahadevan
Dr Mahadevan is a New Zealand trained ENT Surgeon graduating from Auckland Medical School in 1987. Subsequent post graduate training was undertaken as an ENT Surgeon. He attained the Fellowship of Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1995 (FRACS).
Further post fellowship training in paediatric ENT was gained at Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne 1996 and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children in London 1997.
He returned following fellowship training to work in New Zealand in 1998. He now works half time in both the public and private sector. He is the Clinical Director / Surgeon at Starship Children's Hospital and is also a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Surgery, University of Auckland.
Dr Mahadevan's main practice is located at Level 1, Suite A, Kakariki Hospital, Greenlane.
His sub speciality interest is paediatric ENT and Sleep Apnoea/Snoring Surgery. He also has extensive experience in Neck lump Surgery, nose and sinus surgery.

Head & Neck Surgery
Surgery to deal with lesions of the parotid, submandibular, sublingual, and minor salivary glands. Surgical excision of branchial cysts, dermoid cysts, Sistrunks procedure to remove thyroglossal duct cysts.
All neck lumps in the paediatric age group including Branchial Cyst & Sinus, Thyroglossal Duct Cyst, Preauricular Cyst & Sinus, Dermoid Cyst.
