Boris Lowe is a specialist cardiologist at the Green Lane Cardiovascular Service (Auckland City Hospital) and consults part-time at The Heart Group. Dr Lowes clinical interests are using state-of-the-art echocardiography, CT and MRI to diagnose and improve the standard of care for patients with cardiomyopathies, heart valve, coronary artery, aortic, and congenital heart diseases.

Before his appointment to Auckland City Hospital in 2007, he was the Chief Fellow in Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging at Cleveland Clinic (Ohio, USA) where he achieved the highest level of certification in the areas of echocardiography, CT and MRI. Boris graduated MBChB from the University of Auckland (1995) and completed his cardiology specialist training at Green Lane Hospital. At McGill University Health Centre (Montreal, Canada) he completed an advanced fellowship in adult congenital heart disease.

Boris has published original research in medical journals and coauthored chapters in reference cardiology textbooks. He has been the Director of Physician Education and Training (RACP) at Auckland City Hospital since 2010.
