About A/Prof Jonathan Christiansen
Jonathan is a specialist Cardiologist working at Waitemata Cardiology and also at North Shore Hospital. He graduated from Auckland Medical School and trained in Tauranga and Auckland before moving to the USA, undertaking Fellowships at the Universities of Virginia and Rochester, New York.
His clinical practice is general cardiology and he has a special focus in non-invasive imaging, including cardiac MRI, CT coronary angiography and nuclear perfusion imaging. He also has a keen interest in medical education, being currently both Supervisor of Physician Training for WDHB, and Chair of the Education Committee for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
Jonathan is currently Associate Chief Medical Officer and a Clinical Senior Lecturer in Medicine at North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals.
