About Dr Nezar Amir
Nezar Amir trained in general medicine and cardiology in Baghdad, Iraq and Auckland, New Zealand and then completed an echocardiography training fellowship at the University of California San Francisco Medical Centre. Nezar is a consultant cardiologist for the Waitemata District Health Board working at both the North Shore and Waitakere Hospitals. He is a general cardiologist who works in the coronary care unit, the cardiology clinic and the general wards. He has a particular expertise and interest in all areas of echocardiography. Nezar works part time at The Heart Group, based on the North Shore.
