about nib Cardiac Care Health Management Programme

Followup care post heart surgery and other cardiac events

nib Cardiac Care is a follow up care programme provided by EPR Clinic for patients to recover quickly and effectively. It covers all aspects of cardiac recovery including:

  • exercise, including one on one sessions with certified exercise physiologists with wearable devices for exercise monitoring where appropriate
  • nutrition, mental health and returning to activities
  • information through access to our online portal

Free to eligible nib members | Is your patient eligible?

nib Health Management Programmes are available at no additional cost to patients who are nib members aged between 18 and 80 years, with a plan that is paid up to date and includes Hospital cover, and who have not enrolled in another programme within the last 12 months.

To join nib Cardiac Care, patients must have had cardiac surgery, a stroke, heart attack or myocardial infarction and have clearance from their treating doctor or specialist to start exercising again
