Mr Parma Nand

Mr Parma Nand, a well-known cardiothoracic surgeon is currently practising in Auckland City Hospital and MercyAscot Hospital. He has extensive qualifications and working experience in Fiji, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
He performs a range of adult cardiac and thoracic surgery as well as adult cardiac and lung transplantations with specific interest in coronary artery bypass procedure, mitral and aortic valve surgery, minimally invasive lung surgery including lung resections(lobectomy), pectus abnormality, chest deformity and treatments with Nuss bars. His other interests are aortic surgery involving aortic root and surgery including aortic valve sparing root replacements and aortic arch surgery.
Mr Nand volunteers his time and expertise leading a mobile cardiac surgery team as charity missions to Fiji and Samoa since 2006 and performing valve surgery and congenital procedures, and pacemaker implantations. Mr Nand maintains a very close relationship with the Fiji Islands and he has made a major contribution towards the health and well-being of numerous patients from Fiji
