Elizabeth Dennett

A/Prof Elizabeth Dennett is a general and colorectal Surgeon who is dedicated to provided patient-centred care of the highest quality.

A/Prof Dennett trained in general surgery in Invercargill, Dunedin and Auckland. After completing her general surgery training she undertook post-fellowship training in colorectal surgery with the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand in Melbourne and Sydney. She is a fellow of both the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons. She is experienced in all aspects of colorectal surgery but has an interest in pelvic floor disorders, anorectal conditions, anal cancer and abdominal wall reconstruction for large and complex incisional hernias.

She works as a specialist colorectal surgeon at Wakefield Hospital and is the Clinical Director at Te Aho o Te Kahu (Cancer Control Agency).
