Mr Isileli Tonga provides the full spectrum of colorectal & general surgical care, with particular expertise & interest in colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, peritoneal malignancy surgery, & complex abdominal wall reconstruction. He also has extensive experience in emergency surgery & proctology.

Specialist Experience
Mr Isileli Tonga is a Consultant Colorectal & General Surgeon at Auckland City Hospital & Honorary Senior Lecturer in Surgery at the University of Auckland.
He undertook his surgical training in New Zealand & the United Kingdom, completing advanced fellowships in colorectal surgery in Bristol & London. He holds fellowships with both the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) & the Royal College of Surgeons of England (RCS England).

Mr Tonga is a member of the peritonectomy team at Auckland City Hospital, providing a national specialist service for the surgical treatment of peritoneal malignancy. He is also co-chair of the Complex Abdominal Hernia Group at Auckland City Hospital, with a particular interest in complex abdominal wall reconstruction & hernia surgery.
