The Retreat NZ operates a specialist alcohol treatment service providing a safe, supportive pathway from withdrawal through to sustained recovery. Based in Warkworth, north of Auckland, we support adults whose primary concern is alcohol dependence. We welcome patients from all over New Zealand and can collect patients from the airport.
Our approach combines clinical oversight and evidence-informed addiction treatment with the lived experience and peer support that are central to recovery. Our multidisciplinary team includes medical, nursing and addiction professionals alongside experienced recovery staff.
We understand that timing matters when someone is ready to seek help. Our team is available 24 hours a day to discuss referrals and treatment options.

Supervised Medical Detox - Residential, community-based alcohol withdrawal management with 24-hour support, medical oversight and nursing care. Suitable clients can usually be admitted immediately.
30-Day Residential Alcohol Rehabilitation - An intensive alcohol-focused programme incorporating individual counselling, therapeutic and educational groups, relapse prevention, peer support and 12-Step recovery. Admission is usually available within one week, if not immediate.
Continuing Recovery - Sober living, ongoing recovery support, family/whānau support and connection with community recovery networks.
