about Dr Peggy Chen

Peggy is a vocationally registered specialist dermatologist. She was raised in Christchurch and earned her degree from the University of Otago. She completed her basic training in Dermatology in Waikato and Auckland region.

Peggy then furthered her training in London, UK, working at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Here she gained experiences in novel treatments for psoriasis and eczema, and worked with world renowned dermatologists in the field of genital dermatology.

Subsequently, she sub-specialised in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and undertook her fellowship training in American Mohs College accredited training facility in Perth, Australia. During her time in London and Perth, she was involved in training of GPs and medical students, writing book chapters, and presented at national meetings and international conferences.

Peggys special interests include general dermatology and skin cancer diagnosis and treatment, utilising both medical and surgical options. Peggy works out of our Taranaki clinic, providing a comprehensive skin cancer service as a local dermatologist, and now also our Queenstown clinic every fortnight.
