NZ National Eye Bank Trust
We need you as a health care provider to help give the gift of sight
About NZ National Eye Bank Trust
Did you know that up to 75% of people could donate eye tissue?
Every year, hundreds of New Zealanders require a corneal transplant to restore their sight, and the generosity of others to donate is the only option.
Most people aged 10–85 years can donate eye tissue and there are very few medical exclusions.
Donation can occur anywhere (hospital, hospice, rest home, funeral home) and there will be no delay to funeral arrangements.
It wasnt a hard decision even during my grief as I was fulfilling his wish – to help others after he was gone. Now it gives great comfort to me and my children to think of the precious gift he was able to give

Our Donor Coordinators are available at all times to discuss and facilitate eye donation.
