about Dr Ibrahim Hassan

I am a New Zealand-trained Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist with a special interest in advanced and interventional endoscopy, and third-space endoscopy.

I completed my specialist gastroenterology training in New Zealand, with training across Tauranga and Auckland Hospitals, including experience at the New Zealand Liver Transplant Unit. I subsequently undertook a dedicated one-year fellowship in advanced luminal and third-space endoscopy at Mayo Clinic in the USA, gaining extensive experience in complex endoscopic procedures and minimally invasive endoscopic treatment of gastrointestinal disorders.

My clinical practice focuses on advanced endoscopy, including endoscopic resection and third-space procedures, with an emphasis on providing minimally invasive alternatives to conventional surgery where appropriate.
