services

Routine planned appointments
These can be booked by phoning 09-4077777 or through The Doctors App with your registered GP. We encourage you to plan ahead to ensure you can see your regular GP

Acute same day appointments
We realise that we cannot plan for unexpected accidents or illness and so we have a same day clinic. You will need to phone to speak to the team and may be referred to a triage nurse to discuss your concerns and make an appropriate plan for your care, which may include advice, being booked into the same day clinic with the acute care team or booking you with your regular doctor where appropriate.

Cervical smears
Our practice nurses are trained in taking cervical smears. If you only need a smear test, you can book an appointment with a nurse. We currently do not charge registered patients for this appointment. Self swabbing is now available for some patients so please discuss this with the nurse at your appointment

Influenza immunisation
The Influenza immunisation is recommended and currently subsidised by the Government for any person over 65 years old and any person with a chronic condition. Others may have the immunisation if they wish. The immunisation does not protect against the common cold, tonsillitis, sinusitis or bronchitis.

Covid Vaccinations
These are available and can booked in one of our vaccination clinics
Immunisations for children
We recommend immunisation at 6 weeks, 3 months, 5 months, 15 months, 4 years, and 11 years of age in accordance with current National guidelines. We are happy to discuss benefits and risks with all parents. Please book an appointment with a Nurse.

Child development checks
Routine medical checks for children are recommended 6 weeks prior to immunisation, and also at 9 months, 2.5 years and 4 years of age. This is a normal Doctor's
appointment.

Minor surgery
All aspects of minor surgery are catered for, including removal of warts, moles and skin cancers. Cryotherapy with liquid nitrogen is usually available at the time of an
initial appointment. For other surgery, an initial appointment is required for assessment of the condition.

Maternity advice
Make an appointment with your GP to discuss pregnancy advice. Midwives are the leading providers of maternity care, however we do offer emergency advice if necessary. A list of local midwives is available at reception.

Contraception
An initial consultation for all contraception choices should be made with a GP.

Immigration Medicals
We are an authorised New Zealand Immigration provider. Please call to make an appointment or email MCA@kerikerimedical.co.nz to request a booking

Travel Appointments
We are not a specialised travel service and recommend that patients make an appointment with a travel doctor. If you want to discuss travel arrangements with one of our Doctors then you will need to make an appointment to do so. It will be necessary to book sufficient time for you to discuss your requirements and please be aware that these appointments need to be made in good time to ensure there is time for appropriate vaccinations etc. Please note this not a funded service and the fee is $300.00

Blood and X-ray results
We will only contact you if we receive an abnormal result. If we cannot contact you by phone, we will write to you. Please make sure that we have your up to date contact details at all times. If you would like your results, you are welcome to ring and speak to a nurse and if you remain unwell or are worried, please call and speak to one of our nurses. You can sign up for The Doctors app to access your results on line..

Visiting Specialists
The following specialists have regular clinics at our practice:
Mr David Dalziel - Eye Surgeon
Dr Brandon Wong - General Physician
