about Dr Jens-Peter Link

Jens-Peter Link is a German trained GP and has immigrated to New Zealand with his wife and daughter in 2007.

He gained his medical degree in Germany, where he also completed his medical doctoral thesis. He undertook extensive training and work in Germany in a broad variety of medical fields including orthopaedic, trauma and general surgery. He holds German General Practice Fellowship.

Upon arrival in New Zealand, he initially worked as a Doctor in Hawera Hospital looking after patients in the Emergency Department, General Medical Ward and Palliative Care Unit.

Following training in New Zealand General Practice he qualified as a Specialist General Practitioner and became a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners.

Since 2010 while working as a General Practitioner in Hawera, Waiheke Island and Auckland he developed a special interest in medical and surgical Skin Cancer management. He has completed a Certificate in Dermoscopy and Skin Cancer Management (SCCA), as well as Advanced Certificate of Dermatoscopy (Skin Cancer Symposiums).
