Dr Hisham Hammodat has a long experience in all areas of general surgery. He has a special interest in weight loss surgery for morbid obesity. He introduced the Duodenal Switch operation in New Zealand. This operation has the best reported long term weight loss results, and rates of remission of obesity co-morbidities.

Hisham is a consultant surgeon at Waitemata DHB and consults in private at Waitemata Specialist Centre, Milford.
