about Dr Anna Brownson

Dr Anna Brownson is a FRANZCOG-qualified, AGES-trained Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic gynaecological surgery. Her subspecialty focus includes endometriosis (all stages) and persistent pelvic pain, myomectomy for fibroids, fertility assessment, and complex benign gynaecological surgery, including complex hysterectomy.

She provides comprehensive assessment and management of both routine and complex gynaecological conditions, with an emphasis on minimally invasive surgery, evidence-based care, and clear communication with referrers.

Dr Brownson completed her medical and specialist training in New Zealand and undertook an AGES Fellowship in Advanced Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery at the Royal Womens Hospital, Melbourne. She works in public practice at Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau and in private practice, and is committed to delivering timely, high-quality, patient-centred care with a strong focus on shared decision-making.
