Dr Rachel Moss - Riverside Women's Healthcare

Dr.. Rachel Moss is an experienced gynaecologist with over 30 years experience, having trained and worked in the UK, then worked in NZ for 30 years, and has been in private practice for 25 years in Whangarei.

Her clinic is called RIVERSIDE WOMENS HEALTHCARE which is a private clinic in Whangarei run by women and the atmosphere is very supportive of their emotional needs. We deal with womens health problems such as troublesome bleeding, menopause concerns, abnormal smears, pelvic pain, vulval pain, vulval rashes and itching, and fertility issues, and non surgical management of bladder leakage and prolapse. Many of the common problems can be treated with simple minor procedures done either at the clinic or at Kensington Hospital. We are also happy to see women for routine well woman checks.

The emphasis at the clinic is on making sure women have as much time as necessary to discuss their presenting problem and also their general gynaecological health so that other problems are picked up and dealt with, and they are given as much information as possible about their own health on which to base their decisions as to the type of treatment that is best for them. This will include in-depth discussion of non-surgical options but, if major surgery is required or desired, this will be done using modern techniques that are designed to improve safety, reduce postoperative pain and hasten recovery.

We are able to do teleconsults.
