Gynaecology

Gynaecology is concerned with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and disorders of the female reproductive system, including the breasts, uterus, ovaries and vagina, and associated organs and structures. Gynaecologists treat a wide range of conditions of the reproductive organs including ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, vagina and vulva; urinary incontinence; painful, heavy or absent menstrual periods; infertility; prolapse of pelvic organs; and infections of the vagina, cervix and uterus.

Simon is a gynaecologist trained in Wellington with an interest in minimally invasive surgery, endometriosis & persistent pelvic pain. Simon is trained in advanced laparoscopic surgery (including hysterectomy, endometriosis surgery, fibroid surgery, ovarian cysts & others), colposcopy as well as all general gynaecology services. Simon also offers minor procedures including hysteroscopy, LLETZ & pelvic floor botox as outpatient procedures at Kāpiti Day Hospital.
