Dr Yuxin Lim has completed her medical degree at University of Otago and undertook her specialist training (Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists- FRANZCOG) in New Zealand.
She is a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at Middlemore Hospital. She is also the current lead for the colposcopy unit at Middlemore Hospital, coordinating care for women with cervical and vaginal pre-cancer and cancer.
Dr. Lim has published impactful diabetes research in pregnancy that led to changes in hospital practices for women in South Auckland, improving healthcare outcomes and addressing community-specific needs.
