about Coastal Rehab Services
Concussion Services
Kia Ora and Welcome
We have been proudly providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to ACC clients/kiritaki and their whānau in the Bay of Plenty region for the past two decades.
Coastal Rehab Services provides early intervention and rehabilitation for adults and children with a suspected or confirmed concussion diagnosis, or mild to moderate traumatic brain injury.
ACC fund this service when the client has an accepted ACC claim, and the date of injury is within the last 12 months. GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Accident and Emergency Departments and ACC can make referrals.
Once we have received your referral, one of our neurophysiotherapists or occupational therapists will contact the patient to arrange an initial assessment. As appropriate, our interdisciplinary team of experts then work with the patient to support their recovery through education and rehabilitation to facilitate a return to independence.
