about Gut Cancer Foundation
Gut Cancer Foundation Support Service
The Gut Cancer Foundation Support Service provides free, nationwide support for people affected by pancreatic, oesophageal, stomach, liver and biliary cancers.
Our specialist nurse offers practical information, evidence-based educational resources, emotional support, help understanding symptoms and treatment, and guidance to trusted services and community supports.
We also provide disease-specific Care Kits and educational materials to help patients and their whānau feel informed and confident throughout their cancer journey.
The service supports patients, whānau and carers from diagnosis through treatment, recovery and beyond, while complementing existing clinical care. GPs and other health professionals can refer patients directly, helping ensure they receive timely, personalised support alongside the care provided by their medical team.
