Dr Paul Timmings

Paul is a Waikato based Specialist Neurologist in Hamilton, NZ. He also holds a Senior Lecturer post with The University of Auckland School of Medicine.

Paul is active in the clinical practice of neurology and EEG. He has particular interests in Blackouts, Epilepsy, MS, Parkinsons Disease and tricky general neurology cases.

Paul has wide previous internal medicine, pharmacology and clinical trials experience.

He is a strong clinician and medical teacher. He advises Pharmac, is a member of the RACP curriculum advisory group, and the RACP research projects working group.

He completed his doctoral research thesis in Epilepsy and EEG Photosensitivity. He has written four text-book chapters and has numerous peer reviewed publications in the medical literature.

Paul is diligent, compassionate and responsible with resources, whilst striving for the best outcome.
