about Dr Helen Wemyss

Helen considers it a privilege to go on the fertility journey with people and is caring in nature. With over 20 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology as a specialist, she brings a wealth of knowledge and wisdom. Her up to date obstetric knowledge provides some foresight into how to maximise the best outcome for your pregnancy. She has a high level of attention to detail and will be your advocate when required.

Helen graduated from Otago University in 1990 and then after four years as a junior doctor, proceeded to what her dream had always been and begun specialist training in Hamilton, Auckland and Canberra. She holds clinics at Fertility Associates Hamilton. She also works as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Waikato Hospital. Helen is always thrilled and feels privileged to care for Fertility Associates patients on the next part of their journey when they are coming through antenatal clinic or delivery suite. She is involved with specialist training and medical student training at Waikato Hospital. Previously she has held the role of 5th year medical student supervisor and also training supervisor for training Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
