Oncology

Oncology is concerned with cancer. The three primary disciplines are medical, surgical and radiation oncology. Medical oncology involves the treatment of cancer with drug therapy, including chemotherapy. Surgical oncology includes biopsy (sample taking), staging (examinations and tests to see the extent and spread of the cancer) and surgical resection (removal) of tumours.
