I am a founding partner in a group private practice setting at Domain Orthopaedic alongside three other subspecialist orthopaedic surgeons covering hip, knee, foot and ankle and tumour surgery. All have public hospital appointments at Auckland City Hospital.

Clayton Brown trained at Auckland Medical School and graduated from the NZ Orthopaedic programme becoming a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 1994. Clayton underwent postgraduate fellowship training in Upper Limb surgery in Florida and Texas, as well as extensive training in wrist arthroscopy in Philadelphia USA. Clayton has held a part time consultant post as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Auckland City Hospital since 1997.

Description of Specialisation
Orthopaedic surgery limited to the shoulder, elbow, wrist & hand. Upper limb arthroscopic diagnosis & treatment.
Shoulder: Rotator cuff & instability surgery, joint replacement, arthroscopic stabilisation.
Elbows: Traumatic & degenerative conditions, joint replacement, arthroscopy, contracture surgery.
Wrist/Hand: Ligament & cartilage repairs, both arthroscopic & open percutaneous scaphoid fixation, extensive experience in vascularised bone grafting, joint replacement.
All other conditions of the hand & wrist including congenital.
