About A/Prof Jacob Munro
Jacob specialises in hip and knee joint replacement, especially complex primary and revision surgery, including minimally invasive hip replacement, partial knee replacement and robotic surgery. He has an interest in managing hip problems in young patients, including hip preservation and performs reconstructive procedures and arthroscopy.
Jacob undertook fellowship training at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and Vancouver General Hospital.
Jacob covers all aspects of orthopaedic trauma at Auckland City Hospital and subspecialises in fractures of the hip and lower limb, and fractures around hip and knee replacements. He is an Associate Professor at The University of Auckland.
Jacob operates at Mercy Hospital in the private sector.
