Special interest is in primary and revision surgery for total hip and knee reconstruction. Mr Devane is nationally and internationally recognised for his research involving modes of failure of total hip replacement and polyethylene wear.

50% Joint Reconstruction Hip and Knee Surgeon, Wakefield Hospital

Qualifications/Memberships
MBChB, MSc, FRACS
Member of the International Hip Society (invited members limited to 75) since 2006, the first New Zealand surgeon invited to join.

Specialist Training
NZ Orthopaedic Association training scheme 1986-1990.
Clinical Fellow, London, Ontario 1990-1993.
