About Dr Ritwik Kejriwal
DR RITWIK KEJRIWAL is an ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON specialising in KNEES and SHOULDERS.
Ritwik is a Knee and Shoulder Surgeon with Fellowship training in New Zealand and Australia.
Ritwik looks after multiligament knee injuries and isolated PCL injuries for the central North Island community. He has a particular expertise in ACL reconstruction including double bundle technique, revision ACL surgery, meniscal repair surgery, patellar stabilisation surgery, shoulder stabilisation surgery and arthroscopic cuff repair. He has a strong research interest in knee and shoulder conditions with multiple international publications.
Ritwik is from Hamilton, graduated from Auckland Medical School, and completed his Orthopaedic training in Auckland and various centres in North Island. He then subspecialised in knees,shoulders, and sports at Unisports (Auckland) and Perth. This involved management of elite athletes and difficult sports injuries. He also completed a diploma in sports medicine and was a team doctor in Auckland Premier Grade Rugby.
Ritwik operates at Taranaki Base & Southern Cross Hospitals, performing knee, shoulder, arthroplasty & trauma surgery. He takes an active role in teaching junior staff & allied health professionals.
