about Mr Colin Brown
Colin is an Otolaryngologist specialising in Ear disorders and Childrens Otolaryngology (ENT).
Southern Cross Insurance have recognised him for exceptional outcomes and experiences based on patient feedback.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (since 1995) and qualified in Medicine 1986 (University of Otago). He is a past President of the Australasian society of Paediatric Otolaryngology (ANZSPO). He is also a Senior Lecturer in Surgery at the University of Auckland.
He has worked at Starship Childrens Hospital, the Northern Cochlear Implant Programme and the University of Auckland for over 25 years. He is a peer reviewer for the International Journal of Paediatric Otolaryngology. His private practice at Southern Cross Gillies Hospital and Clinics is centrally located with easy access to the Motorway and has free on-site parking. He is co-located with audiologists and employs an ENT Nurse Specialist.
Dr Brown co-ordinates the Starship Microtia- Atresia multidisciplinary clinic, and multidisciplinary meetings concerning the care of deaf children and their progress with cochlear implants and hearing aids.
Dr Brown's practice, for some of the more common disorders, is an affiliated provider to Southern Cross Healthcare.
