about Dr Melanie Collins
Melanie graduated from St Bartholomews Hospital, London University and completed her specialist training in Otolaryngology in the North-East of England. She obtained the Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1999, and FRACS recognition in 2025. She spent a Fellowship year in Adelaide in 2001, specialising in Otology and Skull base surgery. She was appointed Consultant Otolaryngologist in Salisbury and Southampton, in the UK, in 2002.
In 2011, Melanie relocated with her family to Auckland, with a public appointment as an Otologist at Waitemata on the North Shore and is one of the surgeons for the Northern Cochlear Implant Programme (NCIP).
She has been in private practice since 2013.
