Dr Craig Jefferies

Dr Jefferies is a University of Auckland graduate. He trained through Starship Childrens Hospital & completed his fellowships in paediatric endocrinology at Auckland & then 2 years as a full time fellow in the Hospital for Sick Kids, Toronto, Canada. He has a gained a Diploma in Paediatrics though University of Auckland & is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Paediatric Endocrinology.

He works at Starship Childrens Health as a Specialist Paediatric Endocrinologist & Diabetologist. Dr Jefferies is an Assoc Professor (Hon) in the Liggins institute & the Department of Paediatrics at the University of Auckland Medical School & has more than 150 peer reviewed publications including in lead journals such as the New England Journal of Medicine.

Dr Jefferies has been on numerous committees including Paediatric representative on the RACP Special Advisory Committee for Endocrinology training, previous lead clinician at Starship Paediatric endocrinology, ANZPED council member, NZSSD council member, & internationally with the SWEET diabetes initiative & ISPAD advisory member.

Dr Jefferies has been a Specialist in Paediatric & Diabetes for more than 20 years at Starship Children's Health
