
about Dr Victoria Lo
Dr Victoria Lo is a New Zealand trained Plastic, Burn and Reconstructive Surgeon with special interests in burns, secondary burn scar reconstruction and hand surgery. She is also capable with a wide range of general Plastics including complex scars and skin cancer.
Dr Lo graduated from the Otago University School of Medicine then moved to Auckland to pursue her interest in burn surgery. She qualified as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2021. Dr Lo has completed subspecialty fellowship training in Burn surgery and Hand surgery based in Middlemore Hospital. She also completed an additional observership at Singapore General Hospital to bring back complementary knowledge and experience with lasers to the New Zealand National Burn Centre.
Dr Lo currently works at Middlemore Hospital as a Consultant Plastic and Burn Surgeon. She is one of five burn surgeons running the National Burn Centre and is the clinical liaison for paediatric burns. Dr Lo has a passion for surgical education and has previously served as an examiner for the RACS clinical examination. She currently oversees the preparation for final year Plastic Surgery trainees sitting the exit fellowship exam.
Dr Lo favours a conversational and approachable consulting style. She is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. She empowers her patients through education and believes that informed choices lead to the best health outcomes.
