Dr Sonia Cherian

Dr Sonia Cherian is a dual-trained Respiratory and Sleep Physician based in Auckland, consulting through her private practice, The Sleep Specialists. She offers virtual and in-person consultations, with timely access including urgent appointments when clinically indicated.

She trained across Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, including a dedicated fellowship in sleep medicine, and is a consultant at Auckland City Hospital, where she has led the regional sleep network and pleural and lung cancer service. She is actively involved in physician training and has held roles with the Australasian Sleep Association and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).

She provides evidence-based care across the full spectrum of sleep disorders.
