about Mr Dean Mistry

Dean graduated from Auckland Medical School in 1999. After successfully graduating from the New Zealand Orthopaedics Associations advanced surgical training programme he was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2009.


Spine Surgery

Dean underwent extensive subspecialty training in spine surgery at both the Spinal Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney and at the British Columbia Childrens Hospital in Vancouver, Canada. He has been in practice in Auckland since 2013.

Dean has interests in all aspects of spinal pathology and treatment, both operative and non-operative. He performs procedures on lumbar, thoracic and cervical spine pathology such as microdiscectomy instrumented fusions, ACDF and laminoplasty.
