Mr Otis Shirley

I am a New Zealand trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in the surgical management of adult and paediatric spine conditions. I hold consultant positions at both Auckland City and Starship Hospitals, where I provide care to both acute and elective spine patients.

Upon finishing my Orthopaedic training, I was honoured to receive the Presidents Award for best trainee. I then completed an adult spine fellowship at Auckland City Hospital and a paediatric spine fellowship in Canada.

As a surgeon with expertise in both adult and paediatric spine conditions, I provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages. In addition to my clinical work, I am also involved in teaching and research, and I enjoy exploring the intersection of skills and techniques from the paediatric and adult spine worlds.

• FRACS (Ortho) - New Zealand Orthopaedic Association and Royal Australasian College of Surgeons

• All aspects of paediatric spine surgery (Scoliosis, Spondylolisthesis and Vertebral body tethering)
