Mr Phillip Insull

Phillip is an experienced spine surgeon with expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of cervical, thoracic, and lumbar conditions. He sees patients from all over New Zealand and offers sensible surgical and non-surgical treatment options.

Patient education and clear communication are the cornerstones of his clinical practice. He is committed to providing discerning patient care and believes in empowering patients to recover function and manage pain.

Phillip's private practice is primarily located on the North Shore, with satellite clinics offered from time to time in Central Auckland and East Auckland. He also has an appointment as a consultant orthopaedic and spine surgeon in New Zealand's largest public orthopaedic department, which services the population of the North Shore, Rodney District, and Waitakere City.

Phillip has worked and trained in New Zealand and the United Kingdom. He undertakes research and travel to remain up to date with the latest techniques in spine surgery, cutting-edge technology and innovation.

He enjoys providing regular teaching to junior doctors and other health professionals. He has previously acted as an educational supervisor for the Medical Council of New Zealand.
