Paul Salmon
BHB, MBChB, FRACP Hon, FACD, FACMS, FNZDSI
Dr Salmon is New Zealands most published Dermatologic Surgeon, he has over 80 papers published in the Peer-Reviewed Literature, mostly on facial reconstruction. As recognition of his international standing, he was in 2018 awarded Honorary Fellowship in the Australasian College of Dermatology. He is an international member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the International Society of Dermatologic Surgery. He has been asked to chair sessions of the ILDS and WCD. He has been a guest presenter on reconstruction of the nose at the American College of Mohs Surgery meeting on several occasions, this is a singular honour especially for a non-American and cements his status as a globally recognized master of facial reconstruction. He continues to teach reconstruction through his Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Mohs and Cosmetic Surgery in New Zealand.
Neil Mortimer
BSc Hons, MBChB, FRCP (UK), FRACP
Dr Mortimer is a Specialist Dermatologist and Fellowship trained Dermatologic surgeon. He completed his specialist training in the United Kingdom and subsequently completed a prestigious American College of Mohs Surgery Fellowship under the direction of Dr Salmon, one of the worlds most talented and progressive Dermatologic Surgeons, in 2007.
He is Co-Director of an American college accredited fellowship training programme in Mohs surgery and cutaneous oncology and has lectured widely at national and international meetings.
Susan Simpkin
MBChB, FRACP
Dr Simpkin graduated from the University Of Auckland Medical School in 2006. She has had specialised training in Dermatology at Waikato Hospital and Auckland City Hospital before furthering her experience in Dermatology in the UK based in Lincoln.
Dr Simpkin was admitted to Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2015 and is a member of the New Zealand Dermatological Society. She has a special interest in inflammatory skin diseases such as eczema, psoriasis and acne and skin cancer diagnosis and treatment.
AJ (Adrian) Seine
MBChB, FRACP
Dr. Seine pursued his dermatology training in New Zealand before finalizing it in Brisbane, Australia, with a particular emphasis on the dermatological and cosmetic applications of lasers. In 2021, he successfully completed a dermatology laser fellowship, further enhancing his expertise in this field. As of 2021, he holds memberships in both the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the New Zealand Dermatology Society.
Dr. Seine has also undergone comprehensive training as a Mohs micrographic surgeon under the guidance of renowned practitioners, Drs. Salmon and Mortimer, who are internationally acclaimed for their expertise in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology. With a specific interest in skin cancer and reconstructive procedures, Dr. Seine actively contributes to medical dermatology clinics at Rotorua Hospital, demonstrating his dedication to delivering public dermatology services throughout New Zealand.
Richard Barlow

Alistair Brown
BM, BCh, MRCP, CCT, FACMS, FNZDSI
Dr Brown is a fully accredited Mohs surgeon and dermatologist. He completed comprehensive training under guidance of renowned practitioners, Drs. Salmon and Mortimer, who are internationally acclaimed for their expertise in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology. He has a specific interest in skin cancer and reconstructive procedures, as well as hair loss, complex acne and dermatology research.
Dr Brown graduated from Oxford University Medical School in 2013. He achieved membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2016. He was awarded the prestigious UK Dermatology Clinical Trials network SpR Fellowship award in 2018. He completed his four years post graduate Dermatology training in the South West of the UK and worked there as a Consultant Dermatologist before moving permanently to New Zealand. He holds memberships with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, American College of Mohs Surgery, and Royal College of Physicians (UK).
Catherine Smith
BMBS, MRCP UK (Dermatology)
Dr Catherine Smith is a UK-trained Dermatologist with extensive experience in medical dermatology. Having graduated from the University of Exeter Medical School in 2012, she trained and worked in the UK, most notably spending seven years at Torbay Hospital in Devon, where she progressed from specialty training to working as a Locum Consultant Dermatologist. She obtained her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in 2016 and passed the dermatology speciality certificate examination in 2019.

Dr Spreadborough graduated from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, UK in 1988. He completed the Diploma of Dermatology, Cardiff in 2009 and Certificate in Advanced Clinical Dermoscopy, Skin Cancer College of Australia and New Zealand 2009.
Sarah Chapple
MBChB MRCGP (UK), Dermatology Associate
Dr. Sarah-Jane Chapple graduated from Leicester University in the UK in 1989. Having obtained membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1994, she worked as a partner in a busy general practice in Leicester where she developed her interest in Dermatologic surgery. She has worked at the Skin Centre since 2006 where she has received further rigorous training in dermatologic surgery, under the directorship of Dr. Paul Salmon, to become a Dermatosurgery Associate.
