She graduated from the University of Edinburgh Medical School and completed her postgraduate dermatology training in Liverpool, UK. She is a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery, the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, and the New Zealand Dermatological Society.
