about Dr Vania Sinovich

Dr Sinovich obtained her primary medical degree at the University Of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa in 1989. She immigrated to New Zealand in 1991 and completed her postgraduate physician training in Wellington and Auckland Hospitals.

Her advanced dermatology specialty training was undertaken at the Department of Dermatology at Auckland Hospital for two years. She then undertook a one year Dermatology Fellowship at the Churchill Hospital in Oxford, UK where she received specialist training in MOHS micrographic surgery, blistering skin conditions, patch testing, vulval conditions and hair and nail conditions. Her final year of training was spent at Auckland University as a Research Fellow where she was involved in molecular biology and immunohistochemistry in the setting of melanoma vaccine development.

Her interests are in general dermatology, early skin cancer detection and management including surgical and non surgical, early melanoma detection and management, adolescent Dermatology including acne, vulval dermatology and paediatric dermatology. Vania is also a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a member of the Royal College of Physicians.
