About Dr Manish Khanolkar
Dr Manish Khanolkar is a Physician and Endocrinologist with special interest in Diabetes working at Auckland DHB (Auckland city hospital and Greenlane clinical centre).
He completed his undergarduate studies in Goa (MBBS, Goa University, 1995), followed by core General Medicine training (MD, Mumbai University, 1999) in India. Following this, he moved to the UK in 2000 and worked in the NHS to complete his specialist training in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine (MRCP UK 2002, MD, Cardiff University 2009) and is currently on the Specialist Register of the GMC. He was appointed as a Specialist Physician in the department of General Medicine and Diabetes by Auckland DHB in 2009 where he is currently working and is the clinical lead for the young adult diabetes service and the inpatient diabetes service. He also has a honorary teaching role as a Senior Lecturer at Auckland University, besides pursing his active research interest in Diabetes and Endocrinology through collaborative work with the University of Auckland and the Human Nutrition Unit having published widely in peer reviewed medical journals.
