Dr Yukai Lim is a New Zealand-trained surgeon who completed his medical degree at the University of Otago before achieving his Fellowship in General Surgery in New Zealand. Building on this foundation, he undertook his first fellowship in Upper GI & HPB surgery at Wellington Hospital, followed by a distinguished HPB & Liver Transplant Fellowship at the National University Hospital in Singapore-one of Asias leading centres for complex surgery.
He then completed a further fellowship at North Shore Hospital in Auckland, where he consolidated his expertise in complex HPB surgery & advanced robotic techniques. These experiences have equipped Dr Lim with world-class expertise & a patient-focused approach, enabling him to offer both minimally invasive & open surgical treatments. He is committed to staying at the forefront of surgical innovation to ensure the safest care & best outcomes for his patients.
Alongside his clinical practice, he maintains a strong interest in clinical research & emerging technologies such as augmented reality, which are helping make surgery more precise & effective
