about Mr Alastair Hadlow

I have been in practice since 1992,working at Auckland City Hospital and in private practice. I am a general orthopaedic surgeon with a spinal specialty, as well as being a trauma surgeon.

I believe that the obligation of the surgeon to the patient is to make a diagnosis and then inform the patient of their treatment options. My aim is to perform this duty in a manner appropriate to the patient's clinical circumstances, then to instigate and facillitate their chosen treatment, in an unbiased way.

Often in orthopaedics there are many non-operative and operative teatments.I hope to guide the patient, through education, as to their best treatment option, to get them well again most expeditiously, to allow them to return to a full healthy active lifestyle.
