Dr Tom Kuperus

Tom is a New Zealand Trained Orthopaedic Surgeon who graduated from Otago University in 2012. He completed his Orthopaedic Training as a Fellow of the Australasian College of Surgeons in 2022.

Tom then completed Fellowship Training in Hip, Knee and Shoulder Surgery in New Zealand. Following that he completed a Fellowship in Bristol on the latest techniques in knee surgery, and then travelled to Edinburgh for a Fellowship in complex Hip and Knee Arthroplasty including Robotic Joint Replacements.

Tom has an appointment at Whangarei Hospital where he provides Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery, and an elective practice that includes Hip, Knee and Shoulder Surgery. He is heavily involved with training Registrars and Medical Students.
